Eco-Lighthouse certified.
Dark Design Group is certified as an Eco-Lighthouse (Miljøfyrtårn) — Norway’s most widely used certification for organisations that want to document their environmental work.
About the certification
Eco-Lighthouse sets concrete requirements for the working environment, waste, energy, procurement and transport, and requires annual reporting of climate and environmental figures. The certification is renewed every three years through independent audit.
How we work
We have an environmental lead in group management, annual action plans with quantified targets, and we report the results to the board. Measures include waste sorting, energy monitoring at our offices, reduced air travel and digital project delivery.
Procurement
We ask for eco-labelled products and services, and choose suppliers who can document their own environmental work. Office equipment and furniture are reused or repurposed as far as possible.
The greatest contribution lies in the projects
The most significant environmental effect we have is through the projects we design. We work systematically with reuse, space efficiency, material choices and greenhouse gas calculations — and with preserving and developing buildings that already stand.
